JavaScript is a language used to build interactive Web sites, meaning that it allows the contents of a Web page to change according the actions of its visitors. An example would be drop down menus, where when a visitor puts the mouse pointer over the menu, it "drops" down new menu options.
To enable JavaScript on your browser, follow these steps:

Internet Explorer:
Click on "Tools" on the top menu bar and select "Internet Options...". Under "Internet" of the "Security" tab in the menu that appears, move the Security level slider until it reaches "Medium". Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer JavaScript
Netscape:
Click on "Edit on the top menu bar and select "Preferences...". In the menu that appears, click on the arrow beside "Advanced" from the left pane to drop down a list of options. Select "Scripts & Plugins". Under "Enable JavaScript for", select "Navigator" and ensure that all the check boxes below are selected. Click "OK".
Netscape JavaScript
Opera:
Click on "File" on the top menu bar and select "Preferences...". In the menu that appears, select "Multimedia" from the left pane. Select "Enable JavaScript". Click "OK".
